The Living Peace Series Presents: An Evening With Sir Richard Branson
On December 4, 2010, we launched the Living Peace Series with Charlize Theron coming to speak about her work with the Africa Outreach Project. The speaking event, gala and working groups were a huge success. The speaking event raised awareness about the many issues that people in South Africa face, the gala raised over $200,000 and the working groups provided local leaders with a plan of action of what they can do locally to help people in South Africa who are in need.
On January 25, 2011, we are proud to have Sir Richard Branson come speak about his work with Virgin Unite.
Virgin Unite, the non-profit foundation of the Virgin Group, was created to connect people to tackle tough social and environmental problems in an entrepreneurial way. Supported by a growing community of staff, customers, suppliers and other individuals and organizations that are joining forces, Virgin Unite is helping revolutionize the way businesses, governments and the social sector work together – driving business as a force for good.
The discussion will be moderated by Jerry Murdock, who is managing director, Insight Venture Partners and on the boards of The Aspen Institute and the Santa Fe Institute.
