Making Peace, One Piece at a Time

Orange County native, Gene Jimenez (aka “GENE”), has embarked on a self titled journey towards peace called “24 Peaces.”  This multimedia art project is a means of exploring the fundamental meaning of peace and of inspiring others to create peace themselves.  Gene is traveling around the world to locate and interview 24 carefully selected peacemakers, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Chief Arvol Looking Horse, and Millecent ‘Mama’ Hill.

Modeling a creative way for any individual to investigate and make peace, Gene is making 24 paintings based on his 24 conversations.

A mixed-media project, 24 Peaces exists as a traveling documentary film and art exhibition, as an interactive Internet portal, and as a stand-alone video program.  Check out more details and watch their Vimeo video, here!

Good Happens.
