Good Happens

Center for Living Peace is blogging…

Welcome to the fledgling Center for Living Peace blog.

What is Living Peace? That’s a really good question. I’d love to know how you define it. And the truth is, it’s not so much a ¬†definition as a way of engaging in our lives every day. We all live peace. We live it in the way we talk to our family, friends, and co-workers. We live it in the way we take care of our bodies, minds, and our environment. We are making good happen all the time and we can celebrate that.

And we can also take an honest look at how we are not living peace. In the ways we talk to our family, friends, and co-workers, And in the way we take care of our bodies, minds, and our environment.

Why this living peace tug of war? I KNOW it’s always better to do the kind thing, to bite my tongue, to help others instead of zoning out in front of the television or computer. But it’s just so easy to do the habitual, self-centered thing…

So the journey goes on. Living peace here and not so much peace there… And remembering that living peace is always available to me. I have a choice in every moment, and all I can do is to do my best. It’s always up to me.

How do you live peace and how do you not live peace in your life? I’m listening…

Good Happens.

Peace Grl Out.

living peace is a state of mind

  2. Living peace is being present.

“There is one thing we can do, and the happiest people are those who can do it to the limit of their ability. We can be completely present. We can be all here. We can give all our attention to the opportunity before us.”
