Live Peace with The Grain Project
Happy Saturday! Each week we love to highlight an organization or movement that is making Good Happen.
This week we are focusing on The Grain Project, based in Santa Ana, a city facing high rates of diabetes, obesity, and poverty. Fortunately, The Grain Project has helped make Good happen by establishing a farmers’ market to provide fresh and local produce, and a community garden in Jerome Park that teaches families how to grow their own food. The organization also works on public art projects to beautify urban areas in Santa Ana and beyond! Check out some of their previous public art projects.

If you are interested in The Gran Project’s mission of providing healthy food to a low-income city, you can make a financial donation to improve their community garden or donate needed supplies to help the organization grow. If you would like to get involved directly, The Grain Project also provides volunteer and internship opportunities. You can also participate in their CommUnity Harvest Program to donate excess produce from your own garden to low-income residents!
Pay it Forward!
